Nerve damage can be concerning because of its ability to develop into a more serious condition, as well as the financial toll it can take when it comes to medical bills and possibly missed work.

If you are looking for immediate treatment from an experienced auto injury Chiropractor near Atlanta, call the team at AICA today to schedule a consultation.

Chiropractic Care & Nerve Damage

A damaged nerve can make it tough for an accident victim to follow through with their everyday routine.

The amount of pain and physical impairment that a pinched or damaged nerve can cause can be debilitating and have a significant influence on a patient’s ability to maintain the type of quality of life they are used to.

An auto accident can lead to a variety of nerve conditions, but the most common forms of pinched nerves are those caused by Whiplash Injuries.

Whiplash develops when the head and neck are randomly jerked in one particular direction, and then suddenly pulled in the opposite direction because of the change in force.

The rapid movement of a Whiplash Injury can lead to the nerves in the back and neck to become overstrained, stretched beyond their limits, or torn.

Diagnosing Nerve Damage

If you are involved in a car accident, it’s important to understand the kind of the symptoms that can help identify whether or not an accident victim has experienced a pinched nerve.

These symptoms can include:

  • Twitching
  • Involuntary muscle movement
  • Heightened sensitivity to temperature, both hot and cold
  • Significant muscle pain
  • Tingling
  • Numbness in the toes, fingers, or the damaged area

If you believe you have suffered nerve damage, contact one of the Chiropractors at AICA Atlanta who can diagnose your condition and provide immediate treatment.

It’s important to treat nerve injuries because severe ones can have a dramatically negative effect on your life and ability to earn an income.

Yesterday was my last day at AICA College Park since my accident in December, there is so much to say about the people who work here and the level of customer service, care, attention, friendliness, and overall amazing atmosphere that they provide. Location is perfect in College Park, right off the highway and in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The entire staff, from the front desk girls, to the physical therapy girls, to the chiros, and the medical team are AMAZING! I feel like I just lost my friends not being able to visit them twice a week every week. I will definitely miss coming here. All the smiles and warm welcomes received. The physical therapy - asking about my day, if everything is okay and helping my back and neck get better. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Hector as my chiropractor, he is awesome, was very helpful in the healing process and also a native Spanish speaker which is a plus for those of us who do speak Spanish. Before coming to AICA, I tried another injury clinic in ATL and walked out after 5 mins - so impersonal and cold. I am so glad that I found AICA in College Park. Trust me, if you are injured and need some healing and TLC you NEED to come to this clinic! Highly recommend to everyone. Thank you again to the guys and girls at AICA - xo Ms. Colon
